watercolor Painting
Working with watercolors is one of the most common forms of art,
Most children who enjoy art and painting get watercolors for a gift because
they are very easy to clean up. Water colors are dry pallets that need water to
get the pigment on the paint brush. When
you are putting water on the palette be
sure you don’t flood the pallet with water because as the water dries the pallet
begins to loose pigment and it starts to disappear faster. Watercolors are really interesting to play
with, as you put the watercolor onto the watercolor paper it is very dark until
you take a little splash of water and pull the pigment down.
As you can see in
this picture, The watercolors create a beautiful art piece. The sky has light
and dark blues, and they were faded by using water to separate the colors. All
of the colors on the picture are watercolors and are beautifully placed on the
page.

When using watercolors you have to use a special watercolor
paper because the water will soak through normal paper and the paper will rip.
Good water color paper is more expensive but if you are planning to sell your
art it is worth the extra money to make the art piece look like an art masterpiece rather than the paper
ripping and you wasting your money on the cheap paper. Watercolor paper is also textured to make the water color stay better.
