Realism

Learning about realism.

Art is a passion. Like most art, you don't have to be good at art to make art. Making an art piece is not difficult. you simply take an art utensil such as a paintbrush and some paint and smear it all over a canvas. When you are finished you have an art piece. To create an art masterpiece however, you need to have some skill, a steady hand and a good eye for color. Realism is the form of art where you create something that looks real. Animals, people and landscape are amazing forms of realism. Realism can be done with any art utensil, Pencils, pastels, paint, charcoals and many more. Making a realistic looking art piece is difficult, if your hand is not steady enough it could ruin the whole art piece. Realism takes time, as you are holding that pencil, rather than going really fast slow down and use long steady strokes.

Leonardo da vinci was an amazing artist in the late 1400's to the early 1500's. Leonardo da vinci created the Mona Lisa in the year 1503. The Mona Lisa is painted in oil paints, a very common paint for realism art. If you look at the small details in the Mona Lisa, she is painted very carefully with delicate strokes. The Mona Lisa also has no eyebrows. The Mona Lisa - by Leonardo Da Vinci
